AI is a five-layer cake. It is not just that model. The AI industry is represented by the energy sector, the chips sector, the model layer where they are, you could argue that there are six layers or five, but above that is basically the data and the application layer. And we need every single one of these layers, everybody in America, to win.

Huang rejects a blanket ban on selling American products to China, arguing every layer of the US AI stack should compete globally for market share.
I completely disagree that we should ban China of all American products. The American companies should have advanced capabilities, but then after that, every single layer of the American AI tech stack, including the traditional companies and the AI model companies of every single field and every single chip company, should go and serve the world. Compete for the world, serve the world, capturing market share, capturing economic prosperity.
Huang says Vera Rubin is in volume production, several years ahead of China, and supplied first to American labs and industries.
We are in the generation of what we call Vera Rubin. Vera Rubin is shipping in volume production. We are several years ahead of China with this technology, and it has been made available to Dario and Sam and the American labs and American industries, and that is exactly what we are doing, and we are delighted to do that.

Jensen Huang said Nvidia's revenue per gigawatt rises from about $18B for Hopper to $25B for Grace Blackwell and $40B for Vera Rubin, with productivity improving several-fold each generation.
In the case of Hopper, we were at about $18 billion per gigawatt. For Grace Blackwell, we're about $25 billion per gigawatt. And for Vera Rubin, it's about $40 billion per gigawatt. And the productivity is X factors increase in each generation.
Jensen Huang said customers are racing to adopt the next generation of Nvidia systems as quickly as possible.
And so customers want to race to the next generation as fast as they can.
