India has been an incredible trusted partner for lots of American companies, in particular, and global companies...it really does create an environment where we are comfortable investing, and I think that is super important...

Robbins argued the world needs more technology capacity and would welcome India as a partner with that capacity, since no country can build the whole stack itself.

Robbins says Cisco's biggest opportunity in India is expanding its silicon design team, which is currently small compared with its Israel and US teams.

The biggest opportunity we see is actually to expand our silicon design team here, so we currently have fair amount of resources in Israel, fair number in the United States, and we have a small group here that are part of that team, and we think there's a big opportunity.

Robbins says that outside the US, the Middle East and India are Cisco's next two biggest markets and offer the highest growth opportunities.

The US is a very important market. Obviously, our most important market today. But outside the United States, the Middle East and India are the next two big areas for us we are focused on. I think those are the highest growth opportunities,
